Mum decides to keep Christmas quiet – because her husband ‘does nothing’

A woman has revealed that she is completely done with her husband.

She says she doesn’t just miss his festive spirit… It is non-existent.

“My husband doesn’t do anything for Christmas. He doesn’t buy a single gift, card, food or drink, wrap anything, do any meal planning or do anything,” she wrote in an online post.

His contribution to the holidays starts and ends with buying a tree and putting lights on it.

Dilemma? Their children love to party, leaving her stressed as she tries to organize the perfect Christmas for the family.

“Every Christmas he gets mad at me for being stressed because I do everything,” she claims.

“If I show any of my stress in any way, he screams that we shouldn’t have Christmas.

“We don’t go anywhere or do a lot of things. I try to keep the budget low so we don’t spend too much,” she explained.

However, her holiday to-do list includes sending small gifts to loved ones, baking a Christmas cake and organizing stockings for their grown children.

But the mental strain has taken a toll, completely changing her feel for the season.

“I’m starting to feel grumpy and I really hate myself now. I don’t do anything nice and Christmassy because it adds to the stress,” she admitted.
